This is to those fans who keep up to date on my beats/productions. Many of you may be asking yourselves, “what in the bejeezus is Ritchcraft up to after dropping Lives and Vibes?”, the only answer I can come up with is “A LOT!”. Lives and Vibes was received both by fans and critiques as an album to listen to, and it was even posted on the world famous hip hop site www.kevinnottingham.com. With that being said, the Lives and Vibes EP hasn’t finished its turn just yet.
Fortunately, Jannis from Jakarta Records (A record label based in Germany) contacted myself and Intalek asking if they could release our album on their record label, Intalek and I took the offer after going over some minor details, however, their was one stipulation, Jannis told us we would have to re-release the project with 5 more tracks on it so that he could sell it to his German market. Intalek is currently writing to the 5 new beats produced by myself, and with Intalek’s skill and consistancy you should be hearing 5 new dope tracks from us in no time. Keep in mind successful artists such as Oddisee and Blitz The Ambassador have released albums on Jakarta Records, however this isn’t all i’ve been up to.
I’m also the main producer for Kayo and Quakes new EP The Search. This EP takes you through a journey of two individuals trying to find their way in the unusual/obscure world that we live in. The entire EP is told like a story, and to get the full effect of the EP, the listener must listen to the EP from start to finish. Be sure to keep up to date with the videos I will be posting regularily on The Search, and add Kayo (@Kayoguevarra) and Quake (@Quakematthews) to twitter when you get a chance. Below is a video of Kayo and Quake on HipHopCanada.com speaking about The Search and spitting a couple of their verses from the project.
As always, I appreciate all my fans who reach out to me, and those who just keep listening and spreading the music. hit me up on facebook whenever, it keeps me motivated to hear how much others love the music I love to make, and that means more than anything. Much love, peace
Alyson Barnhart is a promising female R&B singer from Halifax, N.S. Canada who has been singing for several years but only recently has begun to take it seriously. She recently graduated from NSCC with a Music Business degree and plans on pursuing her passion of music.
Alyson will also be featured on the EP The Search which is a project starring Quake and Kayo, and features production by myself and several other producers
In this video Alyson sings ”Lean On Me” with the help of her brother beat boxing. She puts a funky feel on a classic song, while still managing to give you the shivers. check it out below
Shad K. was my favorite hip hop artist last year, and continues to be my fav hip hop artist year. Tracks like this display his versatility in comparison to his last album The Old Prince where his style was more non-chalent and relaxed this track blows the roof off the mother ______ …….
Always stay on the lookout for future material from Shad, as I promise you it will be timeless
J-Live recently launched his new website and also released a brand new song. “The Way That I Rhyme” is produced by Korede. The scratched in chorus features verses from the classic “It Takes Two” by Rob Base & DJ E-Z Rock. Its always great to hear
This ad Really makes me wanna buy the shoes……..At least if they aren’t comfortable, they make great music (that’s until you run on them too much, and break the audio equipment in the sole of the shoe, lol)
The best part is the end of the commercial where the ad reads “The NIKE FREE RUN+ is absolutely a running shoe. Shoes sold will NOT make music when bent or twisted”
I was considering selling all my music equipment for these shoes
Minnie Riperton is definitiely one of my Favorite Soul Singers ever, it’s a shame she had to pass away so early in life, but I strongly encourage you to check out her music
This is just one tune that comes to mind, I love the way it builds
U-N-I has always been one of my fav groups, since Beautiful Day from their track featuring Fashawn called Pulp Fiction Pt.1 to their super creative video Hollywood Hiatus
Whatever they do, you know it’s going to be fresh and original, and they are one of those hip hop groups you can’t place in a specific group, since they are always doing something different
